Stage 1 - Let's Go!
Stage 2 - Partitions
In the example below we create 3 partitions on the disk:
- sda1 is a small partition mounted as boot ( unencrypted boot media is required if root is encrypted)
- sda2 is an encrypted partition with random key configured as swap
- sda3 uses the remaining space as an encrypted partition with passphrase mounted as root
Stage 3 - Install packages and finish up
Select only [*] Standard system utilities if you want to start with a lightweight minimal foundation (no desktop) to build your own custom Debian configuration.
If you created the encrypted root partition in Stage 2 a prompt will appear for the encrypted passphrase.
Ready to go exploring!
